Kitchen renovation, Tunbridge Wells

Our recent kitchen renovation brings together classic elegance and modern functionality, tailored to meet the needs of a busy family lifestyle.

We started with Howdens’ Chelford Shaker cabinets in a timeless Dove Grey, complemented by sleek 20mm Lyskam White Quartz worktops, with matching upstands and a full splashback for a cohesive and clean finish. To enhance the kitchen’s efficiency, we integrated a dishwasher and installed a Neff double oven, giving the space a seamless, modern look.

Storage was a priority, so we added a tall pull-out larder, ideal for keeping essentials organised and accessible. Structural adjustments were made to improve light and flow within the space. French doors were removed and replaced with a new window, while additional new windows, patio doors and bifold doors were installed to bring in plenty of natural light.

The kitchen’s warm oak floor was re-sanded and finished to add a touch of natural beauty. A stud wall was built to accommodate a pocket door, maximising the available space for cabinets and enhancing the layout’s efficiency.

New electrics were installed along with modern spotlights and under counter lighting to brighten work areas, paired with brushed steel sockets and switches for a stylish touch. The room was then plastered and painted in Farrow and Ball’s James White, a soft hue that adds warmth and complements the cabinetry.

A highlight of this renovation is the American style Fisher & Paykel fridge freezer, adding both luxury and ample storage. The final touch was the creation of a cosy sofa area, turning this kitchen into a welcoming space for both cooking and relaxation.

This kitchen transformation combines sophisticated design with practical touches, creating a space that’s both beautiful and functional.
